Aristocrat pokies online for real money in Australia: what's official and what isn't

Aristocrat went online in 2026 — in North America

Aristocrat is the Sydney company behind Queen of the Nile, Lightning Link, Dragon Link and Where’s the Gold. Its online arm, Aristocrat Interactive, released Lightning Link High Stakes in July 2026. The release describes it as bringing the franchise to players in all regulated iGaming US states and Canadian provinces for the first time.

Dragon Link was next in line. Aristocrat’s release for the G2E trade show on 17 September 2026 said the game would be shown to iGaming ahead of the full launch. As of 29 September 2026, it hadn’t launched online.

Why none of it is aimed at Australia

Offering online pokies and online casino games to people in Australia is prohibited under the Interactive Gambling Act 2001. There’s no Australian licence for an online casino, so there’s no Australian channel for Aristocrat’s real-money online games.

That’s why the keyword “Aristocrat pokies real money Australia” leads mostly to offshore casinos. Aristocrat’s own releases don’t mention Australia for these launches.

The older online releases

Aristocrat had an online catalogue before. In 2013 it partnered with NYX to supply regulated European markets, and Where’s the Gold was in the first set. Aristocrat Online’s showroom listed those games with a return of 94% to 97%, a range of settings rather than one figure.

The help file for that online Where’s the Gold still carries “© Aristocrat Technologies Australia Pty Limited 2014”. That line is the simplest test of an official build.

How to read an “Aristocrat” game at an offshore casino

Games at offshore casinos sometimes borrow Aristocrat titles, artwork or features. A copy isn’t an Aristocrat release, and its RTP and rules are whatever its maker chose.

1. Open the game’s help or info screen before you stake anything.
2. Look for the studio and copyright line. No Aristocrat line means it isn’t Aristocrat’s game.
3. Look for the RTP in the same screen. If it isn’t printed, you don’t know it.

Free Aristocrat pokies, officially

Aristocrat’s social casino business, Product Madness, publishes free apps in the Australian stores: Lightning Link Casino, Mighty Fu Casino, Heart of Vegas and Cashman Casino. They run on virtual coins and are rated for adults.

The listings are plain about it. Lightning Link Casino says it does not offer real money gambling or the opportunity to win real money or prizes. Mighty Fu adds that you must be 18+ to play.

RTP in the venues

In a pub or club, an Aristocrat machine is held to the state minimum: 85% in NSW, Queensland and Victorian pubs and clubs, 87.5% in South Australia, 90% at Crown Perth. The full list is on RTP by state. Aristocrat doesn’t publish a per-title figure for Dragon Link, so the floor is the only number with a source behind it.

Ainsley Duff writes Payback Notes from Adelaide. She reads RTP where it is actually published — state technical standards, provider game sheets and help files, venue pages — and puts a date and a link beside every figure.

What I checked for this page (29 September 2026): read Aristocrat’s G2E release of 17 September 2026 and the PR Newswire release of 23 July 2026, the archived Aristocrat Online showroom and the Where’s the Gold online help file, and the Google Play listings of Product Madness apps with their ’no real money’ wording. Not done yet: whether Heart of Vegas and Cashman Casino carry Dragon Link in their web versions, and Aristocrat Interactive’s own site, which blocked our checks.

How figures get in: how we verify RTP · sources for this page · how we earn. A commission never changes the RTP figures we publish or the order they appear in.
