Huff N' Puff pokies: the houses, the wolf and the five RTP settings

How Huff N’ Puff plays

The theme is the three little pigs. The feature is construction: frames on the reels are upgraded from straw to wood to brick, and finally to houses. Then the wolf arrives. In Light & Wonder’s words for Huff N’ More Puff, “the Wolf will appear and blow the houses away, revealing thrilling Multipliers and Jackpots”.

There are two ways in, both described on the studio’s own game page:

• Hard Hats. Land 6 or more to trigger free spins. Each Hard Hat that lands during the feature upgrades a frame one step, straw to wood to brick to house.
• Buzz Saws. Land 3 or more to spin the Wheel. It can award the Mini, Minor, Major or Grand jackpot, or trigger the Buzz Saw, Mega Hat or Mansion feature.

In the Mansion feature of the later games, every Buzz Saw that triggered it starts as brick before the free spins begin. The Mega Hat covers 2×2, 3×3 or 3×5 areas and upgrades those frames to straw at once.

The family, online

Light & Wonder’s online catalogue has no plain “Huff N’ Puff”. It has seven titles in the family, each with its own version list.

The first online release came before these dates: Huff N’ More Puff launched exclusively at FanDuel in the US and Ontario on 4 February 2025. All figures are under Sources.

What the five settings mean

Light & Wonder publishes each version with its own number — for Huff N’ More Puff, version 71647 is 96% and version 71659 is 87%. A casino chooses which to run. On $100 of turnover, that’s the difference between an expected $96 and $87 back.

The help screen of the game you open shows the setting in use. If you can’t find it, assume nothing about which version you’ve got.

Huff N’ Puff in Australia

The land-based family is marketed here. Light & Wonder’s Australian catalogue has a page for Huff N’ More Puff with a Grand jackpot. At the AHGE trade show in Brisbane in March 2026, it showed the Lock N’ More Link with Huff N’ More Puff among its themes. At the Australasian Gaming Expo in Sydney in August 2026, Huff N’ Puff Rebuild was one of the franchise extensions presented for Australia and New Zealand.

Light & Wonder doesn’t publish the RTP of its venue machines; the settings sheet goes to venues on request. On an Australian floor, the state minimum is the number with a source: 85% in NSW and Queensland clubs, 87.5% in South Australia. The RTP by state page has all eight.

Volatility

Light & Wonder doesn’t rate the family’s volatility on its pages. The shape of the game gives a hint: a top prize of 5,500 times the bet, jackpots on a wheel, and most of the excitement packed into the house-building free spins. That’s a game whose return is held back for features. The volatility guide explains what that means for a session.

Playing it for free

Light & Wonder’s social casino arm, SciPlay, carries Huff N’ Puff in its apps, according to the studio’s AGE 2026 release. Social casino apps use virtual coins and don’t pay out real money.

Ainsley Duff writes Payback Notes from Adelaide. She reads RTP where it is actually published — state technical standards, provider game sheets and help files, venue pages — and puts a date and a link beside every figure.

What I checked for this page (29 September 2026): read Light & Wonder’s iGaming pages for seven Huff titles (version numbers and RTP), its Australian game page for Huff N’ More Puff, its releases for AHGE 2026 in Brisbane and AGE 2026 in Sydney, and the FanDuel release of 28 January 2025. Not done yet: the RTP of the land-based machines, which Light & Wonder gives only to venues on request, and a list of Australian venues running the game — no venue page we found names it yet.
